Brokers Need to Technologically Upgrade Themselves Too
Has
technology eaten or enhanced the job prospects for the real estate associated
professionals? When we are out on the job of house hunting, we have always
faced a dilemma whether to consult a real estate broker or not. Many of us
believe that the role of these brokers has become redundant with everything
available on the internet. There are lavish online portals who are delivering a
trustworthy advice where to buy/sell or rent and in the coming years, this
shall become the most reliable source of information for every investor.
If
such trend is being followed then what will happen to the brokers? What sets
them apart from the online advice which people are ready to trust in while they
have second thoughts in sitting face-to-face with a broker? It is the lack of
trust and expertise required to enter this career field that has led many of
the prospective clients to be vary of them.
Training to brokers is the next step adopted by players like Tata
Housing and RIC to set up ‘Bandhan’.
Realty
Redefined, a start-up, has launched R-Square which is a dedicated website
directory for real estate agents with their complete profiles on display. It is
now important for the brokers to be upgraded with the digital marketing
platform to welcome clients with a renewed sense of trust. For example, if
someone is looking forward for Luxury Apartments in Gurgaon, he will simply type in the search bar and get access
to all the information required to empower him. Consumers are going online, so
why not trace them there and tap the best resources through a trust worthy
channel?
Brokers
have brought forward an evolution of the real estate market and have played a
crucial role in defining the decision of the buyers. They have although strengthened
the market but they have never got their due respect because of the huge gap in
the customer service expectation. With
the changing dynamics of the real estate sector it has become crucial for them
to change and evolve too.
